This picture was taken at Chisan National Lake Wetland Park in China. The Sacred lotus is an incredibly useful plant, all parts are used, either for food, medicine, textiles and more. It has even influenced philosophy and religion. Nelumbo seeds can remain viable for 1000’s of years. They are useful, beautiful and resilient.
