A rural village in Iraq, birthplace of my father. Ancestral land, that my family owns and used to farm on… the heartache of a family split apart by war. War for oil, war for plastic, war for polyester. 30 years ago my father swam in this river with his brothers, the lands still bore fruit. Today it is polluted, abandoned.
